A visionary healthcare executive, venture-backed founder, and dynamic leader
(Meet Shielvonda)

Shielvonda Haith, MBA, MHA
Chief Executive Officer
Shielvonda is an experienced healthcare executive and venture-backed founder with more than 15 years of leadership across payers, providers, and digital health companies. She brings deep expertise in building and scaling solutions that improve access, efficiency, and outcomes — with a passion for driving innovation that empowers patients, parents, and caregivers to make more informed decisions about their health.
Before joining Free to Feed™, Shielvonda served as Founder and CEO of BrightPay Health, a digital marketplace connecting patients with direct-pay healthcare services. Earlier in her career, she led allergy-focused clinic operations across the Southeast as Area Operations Manager for United Allergy Services, overseeing 21 clinics across North Carolina and Virginia.
She also held leadership roles at Delta Dental, where she oversaw a $26M national implementation of government-sponsored health programs, and at Evolent Health, where she spearheaded multi-million-dollar value-based care initiatives. While at Paladina Health (ModernMed), she scaled the implementation of employer-based direct primary care onsite clinic programs, generating more than $6M in renewable revenue in her first year.
Shielvonda is excited to join the Free to Feed™ team. Not only because it brings her back to a space she knows well, but because it allows her to help bring to market tools that enable parents to act with confidence. As a mom of two, including a child with allergy-induced asthma, she understands firsthand the exhausting and emotional journey of searching for answers when a child is sick. The opportunity to equip families with real-time tools that shorten that journey and lead to earlier, more informed interventions is at the heart of what drew her to this mission.
Shielvonda is known for her bias toward execution and her ability to turn strategic vision into scalable, results-driven programs. She holds a BA from Duke University, an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, and a Master of Healthcare Administration.
Outside of work, Shielvonda enjoys spending time with her husband and two children (ages 9 and 4), exploring new restaurants, getting lost in a good book, and browsing the shelves at Barnes & Noble. She’s also a fan of early morning workouts and college basketball season. A dedicated mentor and startup supporter, she loves connecting with fellow founders and will always make time to talk about strategy, especially over a great meal and a bold idea.
